Midwife Fun Facts
 

Hello!  My name is Sandy Hayes and I'm a licensed midwife currently residing in the Boerne/Fair Oaks Ranch Texas area.  

​

I work with clients desiring to birth their baby in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their own home.

 

I currently serve clients in Kerrville, Bandera, Pipe Creek, Boerne, San Antonio & surrounding areas.

My previous career path was in education. I taught English/Language Arts/Reading for many years and loved it! The dream to become a midwife was always in the back of my mind though, and eventually the time was right for a change. So in 2012, I left a long time teaching career to pursue midwifery. After an epic midwifery journey, I graduated from the ATM program in January 2016!

 

I have four awesome children of my own:  Stephana, Serena, Shealynn, and Tanner (first baby born in the hospital, last three born at home).  I also have eleven precious grandchildren: Raelynn, Logan, Jaxon, Kasey, Ruth, Taylor, Hope, Lydia, Jonathan, Westin and Ryder.. Six of these grandchildren were also born at home. I'm also looking forward to meeting grandbaby #12 in early 2023!

Hmm, what else?   My favorite color is purple.  The best way to describe my family is with this Lilo & Stitch quote:  "Ohana means family.  Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten." Reading a great fiction book makes me happy. I love unsweet iced tea and I may or may not spend too much money at Starbucks. I love yoga, hiking and most all things fitness related.  My current personal mantra is: "You can do hard things if you believe in yourself and try really hard."
